As a project manager, I am not used to the interface of Visual Studio and will probably want to use tools that I am familiar with for my tasks. So far, I use Excel or Project and like these tools. Maybe in the future Microsoft will add similar tools into a Project Manager edition of VSTS, but that remains to be seen. So far I can use the integration between Office and TFS for my basic needs. This enables me to work with work items in the Office tools, and then sync this information over to VSTS. The integration works well as long as I work with only one project. I would think that the Enterprise Project Management team would like better integration with TFS from Project Server as well. This integration exists today, but only as a download (unsupported) from CodePlex.
