The Visual Studio solution we are going to create will contain one project and reference a web service that we will call to update the Loan database. To create the project, open Visual Studio and select File New Project. In the dialog that appears expand the SharePoint node under the Visual Basic Language node. Select the SharePoint Server Sequential Workflow Library option as shown in Figure 14-5. Once the project is created you will notice that the template automatically includes a directory named Deployment Files. The Deployment Files directory contains two directories (FeatureFiles and ProductionDeployment) and a batch file named PostBuildActions.bat. The Features directory contains two XML files: feature.xml and workflow.xml. These template files contain configuration information that is used to deploy the workflow as a SharePoint feature.
