If there is no existing persistent context defined upon the JTA transaction by the time one of the EntityManager s methods is invoked, the persistence provider will create a new persistence context. After the JTA transaction ends, the container closes the EntityManager instance associated with it, detaching all managed entities within the EntityManager s persistence context.
