Similarly, in the inspector, you can simply type in new values for the various transform properties. The inspector also exposes various attributes of all the components of the objects, from the material that you are using to render the object to the customized script variables that you choose to expose to the editor. More on all of this later, but suffice it to say, you will be using the inspector quite a bit. Now that you have seen the interface, you are going to have a quick look at how you put objects into your games and how you interact with them in the editor. Each object in your game is built up of various bits and pieces. Things like the material you are using, the mesh of vertexes that define the shape of your objects and the transform that defines where in space the object is. In Unity, these are called Components. The container that holds a bunch of components is known as a GameObject. Most every object in your scene will be either a game object or a component of a game object. The asset pipeline is about getting various art assets into components and attaching those components to a game object, which becomes part of your scene. This sounds a bit convoluted and complicated, but it is actually very simple.
