This is also about the time that the developer takes another look at the DataSet because the benchmarks on performance for the new component have been abysmal. The point here is two-fold. DataSets are designed to do exactly what they do. Although there might be a little bit of baggage in the exposed functionality, most of what is in the class is there for a reason. Also, DataSets perform surprisingly well.
