In a service with pseudowire redundancy configured, multiple pseudowires are associated with one endpoint, and only one pseudowire is elected as the Tx Active pseudowire and forwards traffic to the remote PE router. The winner is listed in the Tx Active state in the CLI output of the show command. Every endpoint that is operationally up has one Tx Active object (but that does not necessarily mean that the object is currently carrying data traffic). Note that when pseudowire redundancy is used in VLL service, only the egress of the standby pseudowire is blocked. In comparison, when pseudowire redundancy is used in VPLS service, both the ingress and the egress of the standby pseudowire are blocked.
