A network of SCRs represents a set of connected segments or elements and contains not only the information about the related segments themselves but also the types of linking point among these segments for different relationships of the related segments (e.g. tangential point, intersecting point and merging junction) to provide necessary information for extracting lexical, syntactic and semantic information in the subsequent phases.
