If you want to recognize normal text like a poem or a news article, go with Tesseract , but if you want to recognize short, alphanumeric codes (e.g. gift cards), I would advise you to choose SwiftOCR because that's where it exceeds. Tesseract is written in C++ and over 30 years old.

xvi PREFACE main techniques of positioning, including, for instance, Wireless Local Area Networks or mobile network approaches. s 5, 6, and 7 form the third part and give details of GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo. In order to allow a direct comparison, each chapter deals with the three constellations. 5 sets out a description of the above systems, 6 gives detail of the various satellite signals, and 7 deals with the acquisition and tracking of these signals. 8 constitutes the fourth part and shows how to calculate a position once the measurements are available. The methods of calculation given in this chapter, although related to GNSS, are applicable to any positioning system. Indoor positioning, as a fundamental current challenge in navigation systems, is dealt with in the fth part, and includes s 9 and 10. 9 describes some non-GNSS-based techniques, while 10 is devoted to those using satellite signals, in one way or another. The rst part of 9 is a global introduction to the indoor problem. Note also that summary tables are provided at the end of 10, including all the indoor techniques described. Applications, either current or future, constitute the last and sixth part of the book. 11 is a description of the main current applications and devices. 12, on the other hand, intends to analyze how everyone s lives are likely to be modi ed in the coming years, with the wide availability of positioning for both people and goods. Finally, exercises are designed to strengthen the understanding of some speci c aspects of the chapters, but also to go one step further. To do this, further reading may sometimes be required. Many exercises are not calculation ones but rather oriented towards the analysis of the chapter contents.

grows for subscriber channels or cells, the carriers can expand these network implementations There are mechanisms in the WMAN MAC that provide different levels of QoS to support different application needs An example is a network that requires voice and video, which require low latency but would allow for some error rate The way that these different applications are implemented is by layering control over the MAC There have been systems in the past with xed modulation This standard supports an adaptive modulation and is more robust These also support lower data rates This is good in the sense that it would be compatible with more lower end DEVs Adaptive modulation also allows for more ef cient use of bandwidth, which would allow for more customers An 80216 WMAN provides communications between the subscribers and the core network An example of a core network is the Internet.

Another example is a phone company As stated before, the 80216 is concerned with the air interface between the subscriber and a base transceiver station IEEE 80216 de nes how wireless traf c will move between subscribers and core networks First, a subscriber sends wireless traf c at speeds of 2 155 Mbps from a xed antenna or building Second, the BS receives transmissions from multiple sites and sends traf c over wireless or wired links to a switching center using the 80216 protocols The switching center sends traf c to an ISP or to a PSTN The broadband wireless architecture is being standardized by the IEEE 80216 WG and the WiMAX Forum The 80216 WG is developing standards for the PHY and MAC layers as well as for the security and higher layer network model.

In this chapter we concentrated on the MAC layer and the QoS support provided by the IEEE 80216 standard..
