Another neat feature of the DCRT library is the reporting subsystem, which you and I would call trace, through its _RPTn and RPTFn macros and assertion support. I introduced the DCRT library assertion support in 3 and explained some of the issues associated with using it. As I mentioned, the DCRT library assertions are good, but they destroy the last error value and therefore could cause debug and release builds to behave differently. Page 174 Moving and Copying Files on the Timeline Just as you can copy and paste files from the contents pane, you can copy, move, and paste files on the timeline for example, you can copy or move files from one part of the timeline to another. For certain digital media files, such as still images and video clips, you can also copy or move the file from one track to another. You can also copy files so the files appear in two places. When you copy a file or clip in the timeline, the properties of the file or clip are carried over to the copy. For example, if you trim a clip and add an effect, the copies have the same length and effect. If the selection contains effects or video transitions and you copy the selection to the same track on the timeline, any added effects or video transitions remain intact and are copied with the video and audio. Producer lets you rearrange content on the Slide, HTML, or Template tracks in other ways besides moving or copying. You can also rearrange the order of files on these tracks by using the Rearrange Items On command on the Tools menu.
